Hey, what’s up it’s Thomas DeLauer. Again, so many people are always asking me what vitamins I take, what supplements I take, and the fact is there is a lot of different vitamins that I recommend at different times of the day.

Today I want to focus on one that is critical in my opinion for men. Now, don’t get me wrong… it’s beneficial for women, too, but I find that men get the most results and the most success out of this one particular vitamin. It’s simply DHEA and that dehydroepiandrosterone. It’s a precursor to testosterone within the body. It’s secreted by the adrenal glands, which are directly above your kidneys. It’s secreted and then it creates testosterone eventually. Through that conversion process it’s converting what are called leydig cells to mesh with cholesterol, which is formed by your liver, to create testosterone. Which is what gives you your masculine qualities and gives you the muscle mass that you want.

Why should you take DHEA?

The reason that it’s so critical to weight loss and burning fat as well, is because it can help build muscular density. Now, when you have that extra density that means you’ve got more muscle mass, even if you’re not looking that much bigger your muscles are denser. That means you’ve got more lean body mass, which means that your metabolism is raging quite a bit more.

Now, women could benefit from it too, but they don’t get quite the effect that men get in terms of increasing their testosterone levels.

What time of day should you take DHEA?

Take it first thing in the morning or immediately after a work out if you work out in the morning because your testosterone levels are highest mid-morning.

If you can take the dehydroepiandrosterone or DHEA, in the morning then that means that that conversion rate is going to be working perfectly in tune with when your testosterone levels are naturally their highest.
